Irene Li - production manager
The White House Design Company is very fortunate to have Irene Li manage our production department. Irene arrived in Canada many years ago, and began her work with us as a presser in our studio in Deep Cove. She has worked tirelessly to perfect her language skills and learn the business inside out. In addition to her work focus, Irene is married and is raising three beautiful children. Irene has a full appreciation of our mandate and therefore compliments our initiative by creating a very productive and efficient production team. With her incredible drive, wisdom and understanding of women in her circle, she supports small in-home factories. This enables working women to care for their families and yet be available to work the sometimes crazy hours this industry requires. We are very proud of these women, not only for the top notch quality of work they complete, but also the productivity which they ceaselessly achieve . We strive to maintain our production in this manner and support women and business in Canada.

 

Leanne - contract production
It seems like Leanne has been working with us forever. She has been part of our team for over 15 years. Leanne sews from her home and occasionally comes in to the plant when we need extra sewing done for sample season. She has incredible sewing skills and is irreplaceable. Married with two amazing children in fields of engineering and dentistry, Leanne has managed a full work schedule and family life here in Vancouver.

 

Ying - contract production
We have had a long term relationship with Ying for over 11 years. She operates a home based business in Surrey with part time women she can call to assist her when the work load fluctuates. She is married and has raised three beautiful children who are successful students in university and high school. Ying enjoys working at home so she can earn money as well as be available for her family.

 

Lynn - contract production
For the past 10 years, Lynn has been part of the White House family. She sews out of her home and orchestrates higher production output by working with family and sewers in her neighborhood to complete production time lines. She is married and has two children both in university. Having a home based business has been a great asset for Lynn.

 

Angel- contract production
We are very fortunate to have partnered with Angel and her team of sewers in the Vancouver area. Angel has been with us for over 6 years and seems to effortlessly produce top quality garments for us with efficiency and speed. Her goal to work at home so she can raise a family was created using her smart business back ground. She continues to expand her business thru the purchasing of specialized high end machines. Angel and her husband recently had a custom home built with space designated for her business and the potential to expand. Her team of qualified sewers includes her sister, her mother and other part time sewers. The production team lives in the neighborhood, so it is a great set up for all. On a typical working day there are usually a handful of people working in a clean warm space with a little two year old boy tucked in the midst, watching all the action. Angel's sister, Mandy, has 3 boys with the youngest coming to work with her. Angel has two of her own children who are both in school. Angel's mother is in her 70's and is amazing to watch as she contributes to the logistics of an efficient production team.

 

Maggy - contract production
For the past 2 years Maggy has been working at her home doing production sewing. She manages this along with two young daughters, one in school and one who is currently 3. Working from home allows Maggy to earn a living as well as raise her young children herself.
